On a Sunday morning in the late summer of 2022, the life of 39-year-old Jeremiah James Johnson, a male member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, came to a tragic end. The events leading to his death on September 18, 2022, began with a call to Umatilla County 911 at approximately 10:36 A.M. reporting a domestic disturbance on Bingham Road, near Adams, Oregon, within the boundaries of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
