Shirlene Chapman lost her life to gun violence on September 16, 2017, in Charleston, West Virginia. The incident occurred at her home in Big Chimney, a area within Kanawha County. Initially, her husband, Randall Chapman, attempted to mislead authorities by claiming that Shirlene had committed suicide. However, a thorough investigation by the medical examiner revealed that Shirlene had been shot in the back, contradicting Randall's claim of suicide.
