On a spring night in Paton, Iowa, the quiet was broken by the sound of an explosion. Two men had just blown the safe inside the town's post office, hoping for a quick score. Their actions, however, did not go unnoticed. The town marshal, a White / Caucasian male named James Busby, age 53, quickly responded to the commotion. He was not alone; several armed citizens joined him in a determined pursuit of the fleeing criminals.
