On December 27, 2014, a tragic hunting accident resulted in the death of 12-year-old Liesel Jade Casto from Traer, Iowa. Liesel was preparing to go deer hunting with her parents in an area west of the Tama County town of Traer when the incident occurred. The accident involved a muzzle-loader rifle, and Liesel was struck by a bullet from this firearm.
