In the late autumn of 2017, the life of a 33-year-old Caucasian woman from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was tragically cut short. Heidi Stephens, a mother of three, was fatally shot on November 20, 2017. The incident stemmed from a dispute over a purse that had been stolen from her. During the confrontation, she was shot, sustaining life-threatening injuries. Her friend, Andrew Shank, was also targeted by the gunman but fortunately survived the attack.
