On April 23, 2016, Tiara Parks, a 23-year-old woman, was killed in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood in a drive-by shooting. Tiara was a college graduate and a single mother, striving to build a future for herself and her child. She was the daughter of a Cook County Sheriff's Deputy, which brought added public attention to her tragic death.
