Nyamal Deng, a 26-year-old woman from Omaha, Nebraska, succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting incident that occurred on October 10, 2021, in Des Moines, Iowa. The incident took place at the High Dive bar, where Deng was shot in the neck. Despite medical efforts, she died nine days later on November 19, 2021, at a hospital.
