Death by Force

Nyamal Deng, a 26-year-old Black / African American woman, was fatally wounded in a shooting that took place in Des Moines, Iowa. On the evening of October 10, 2021, a violent altercation occurred outside the High Dive bar. During the incident, Deng was struck in the neck by a stray bullet. Another individual, a 27-year-old man, also sustained injuries during the shooting but was treated and released from the hospital.
