On the evening of February 28, 2022, a dispute at the GD Express gas station on Pine Street in Davenport, Iowa, escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 25-year-old Corey Dariyon Mykal Martin, a Black / African American male. An altercation that broke out late that Monday night ultimately led to a fatal shooting.
