On a summer day in West Haven, Utah, the life of Kristopher Chase Simmons, a 35-year-old Caucasian male, came to a tragic end. On June 4, 2014, what began as an attempt by law enforcement to serve arrest warrants escalated into a prolonged standoff that concluded with fatal gunfire. Members of the Weber County Sheriff's Office and the Ogden Police Department arrived at an auto body shop in West Haven to take Simmons into custody on outstanding warrants for drug possession and evading police.
