On Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, Matthew Holt, a 46-year-old Caucasian male from South Jordan, Utah, was found deceased in his parked car near 3200 South and 900 West in Salt Lake City. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound in what police would soon investigate as a homicide. The incident that cut Holt's life short was a random act of violence that unfolded over a mere 20 seconds.
