On November 5, 2017, Colby Scott Barney, a 30-year-old man from the Salt Lake area, was found dead at the residence of Robin William "RJ" Lundin, located at 3275 W. 438 North in West Point, Utah.

The incident occurred during a fight at Lundin's home. According to court documents and police reports, Barney was shot in the chest by Lundin.
