On March 28, 2022, a young Hispanic man, Carlos Sepulveda-Montes, along with two companions, Rocio Banuelos-Bustamante, 29, and Zamir Sanchez-Hernandez, 35, vanished. The trio was last seen together in Salt Lake County, setting in motion a mystery that would unravel into a grim tale of kidnapping and murder. Family members grew concerned when they could no longer contact them, and by April, all three had been officially reported as missing to various police agencies.
