On a tragic day in Greenwich, Connecticut, September 3, 1982, the life of 14-year-old Michelle Sandor was cut short. Michelle, a female, and her younger brother, 11-year-old Scott, were found shot to death in their home. The person responsible for their deaths was their mother, Linda V. Sandor, who took her own life after killing her children. The authorities concluded that the incident was a murder-suicide, and as the perpetrator was deceased, no arrests were made, and there were no other
suspects in the case.
The family had been grappling with a serious genetic disorder known as Marfan syndrome, which affected Linda and both of her children. This condition can cause a range of health issues, and both Michelle and her brother had undergone multiple eye surgeries as a result. It has been suggested that the mother's despair over her children's and her own struggles with the degenerative disease may have been a contributing factor in the tragedy. Scott was a grade school student who was active in the Boy Scouts and delivered newspapers.
