In the quiet, affluent town of New Canaan, Connecticut, a tragedy unfolded on March 22, 2016, at a sprawling estate on North Wilton Road. Police responded to a distressing call around 1:30 p.m. reporting a person with a handgun threatening suicide. Upon their arrival at the lavish property, one of the most highly assessed in the town, officers discovered the body of a 41-year-old woman, Heather Sturtz, from Briarwood, New York.
