On a tragic Saturday afternoon, October 8, 2016, the life of 31-year-old Sherri Blount, a Black / African American female, was cut short in her Danbury, Connecticut apartment. At approximately 1:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire prompted a police response to her South Street residence. Inside, they made the grim discovery of Ms. Blount, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
