On December 19, 2019, 55-year-old Michael Joseph Rosario Sr. was fatally shot in New Haven, Connecticut. The incident occurred during an argument inside their Court Street apartment building, where Rosario was shot in the head.

Following the shooting, New Haven police arrested 53-year-old Robert Parris Jr. on December 21, 2019. Parris was charged with murder in connection with Rosario's death.
