On a summer night that should have been filled with celebration, the life of 15-year-old Zion Burton, a Black male from Bridgeport, Connecticut, was tragically cut short. On July 9, 2022, just days before his sixteenth birthday, Burton was attending a party at the Calvin United Church banquet hall on Kings Highway East in Fairfield. The hall had been rented for what was reported to be a large party with 150 to 200 people in attendance.
