In the quiet town of Vernon, Connecticut, a tragedy unfolded on October 28, 2022, that left a family and community in mourning. Karen Priester, a 60-year-old Black/African American woman, was found deceased in her home on Vinetta Drive. The discovery was made by Vernon police who were responding to a report of two untimely deaths at the residence.
