In the spring of 1923, a dedicated lawman, Marshal George E. Perkins, had just begun his service with the Lepanto Police Department in Arkansas, a tenure that would tragically be cut short after only one week. On Monday, April 9th, Marshal Perkins, a male, accompanied a sheriff's deputy to a local shop with the intention of serving a warrant on a man connected to a domestic dispute.
