Dennis, along with
his wife Sheila, had traveled to the secluded home of her father, Ronald Gene Simmons, for a Christmas gathering on December 26th. They arrived with their children, unaware that they were stepping into a meticulously planned deathtrap. Simmons, a retired Air Force sergeant with a deeply troubled and controlling nature, had already commenced a gruesome killing spree days earlier, systematically murdering several family members and concealing their bodies on his property.
The festive atmosphere that should have filled the air was instead replaced by a palpable sense of dread. Upon their arrival, Dennis and his family were met not with holiday cheer, but with the cold, calculated violence of a man who had decided to annihilate his entire bloodline. Dennis McNulty was shot and killed by Simmons. His wife, Sheila, and their young children also fell victim to the horrific violence that unfolded within the Simmons home.
