In the summer of 2012, the life of a young African-American man named Chavis Carter came to a tragic and perplexing end in Jonesboro, Arkansas. At just 21 years old, Carter found himself in the back of a police patrol car, his hands cuffed behind his back, following a traffic stop on the evening of July 29th.
