In the early morning hours of June 6, 2015, the life of Rodrikques Montreal Lipkins, a 34-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Police responded to a 911 call just before 5:30 a.m. reporting shots fired in the 1000 block of North E Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Lipkins lying in the driveway of a residence, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Emergency medical services transported him to a local hospital, but his injuries proved
to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead. At the time of his death, Lipkins was a father to his 11-year-old son, Rodrikques Lipkins Jr. His passing marked the city's sixth homicide of the year.
The North Little Rock Police Department's Investigations Division immediately began treating the case as a homicide. Despite their efforts and pleas from the family for answers and justice, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The case remains an open and ongoing investigation, leaving a family without closure and a community with unanswered questions about who was responsible for the death of Rodrikques Lipkins. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.
