In the small town of Eudora, Arkansas, the life of 18-month-old Truth Rae'Mello Kalize Turner was tragically cut short on October 13, 2016. The young female child passed away at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock from injuries sustained in a shooting. The incident that led to her untimely death occurred on the night of October 9, 2016, at her family's home on Mabry Street. While she was asleep on a sofa, unknown assailants opened fire on the residence, striking the toddler.
Her parents were also wounded in the attack.
In the wake of the shooting, the community and law enforcement began a search for those responsible. The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Tristan Taylor in December 2016. He was charged with terroristic threatening in connection with the death of Truth Turner. However, he was not charged with her murder, and authorities indicated at the time that they were seeking additional suspects. The legal proceedings against Tristan Taylor did not result in a conviction for the child's death.
