In the early morning hours of July 25, 2022, the peace of a Hope, Arkansas neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Inside her home in the 2000 block of West Avenue E, 40-year-old Marcela Lopez, a female resident, was fatally wounded. The occupants of the house were startled awake by the shots that came from outside the residence.
