In a quiet field in St. Joe, Arkansas, the discovery of a body next to a motorcycle on March 26, 2020, began to unravel a story of violence that would lead to the arrest of a father and son. Jerry Don Hensley Jr., a 49-year-old white male, was found with two gunshot wounds by a local resident checking their mail. The Marion County Coroner was called to the scene and pronounced Hensley dead that afternoon.
