On April 29, 2020, at approximately 2:53 p.m., Fayetteville police responded to a shooting incident near the intersection of School Avenue and 22nd Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Travis Bowlin deceased from gunshot wounds. Bowlin, a resident of Fayetteville, was known to be homeless and had been living in a makeshift cabin in a wooded area at the end of 22nd Street.
