In the spring of 1899, a deadly confrontation unfolded in the rugged terrain of Cochise County, Arizona, forever marking the history of the region. Deputy Sheriff Chet L. Ainsworth of the Cochise County Sheriff's Department, a male lawman, met his untimely end on April 6th of that year.
