On December 31, 1980, Helen Phelps, aged 70, was tragically murdered alongside her son-in-law, William "Pat" Redmond, in Phoenix, Arizona. The assailants, identified as Edward McCall, a former Phoenix police officer, and two men from Chicago, Murray Hooper and William Bracy, forcibly entered the Redmond residence.
