On a summer day in 1994, Joseph 'Joe' Babcock, a 47-year-old male, and his wife became victims of a brutal crime near their home east of Kingman, Arizona, in Mohave County. The couple, in an act of kindness, had stopped to help two men whose vehicle was stuck in the sand. This gesture of goodwill turned tragic when the two men murdered both Joseph and his 38-year-old wife, Charlene.
