In the late summer of 2021, the life of Christian John Taylor Petillo, a 15-year-old Caucasian male, was brought to a sudden and tragic end. On the evening of September 5th, in Gilbert, Arizona, what began as a sleepover at a friend's house descended into a devastating incident. During the gathering, an unsecured firearm was retrieved from within the home. In what has been consistently described as an accidental shooting, the gun discharged, and Christian was struck in the chest.
