On July 15, 1999, in Phoenix, Arizona, 20-year-old AnnMarie Merchant was tragically murdered alongside her 17-year-old brother, Roscoe Merchant, and his girlfriend, Cindy Richards. The perpetrator, Eugene Robert Tucker, had previously been in a relationship with AnnMarie. The night before the murders, AnnMarie had declined Tucker's attempts to visit her.
