On October 3, 2009, 39-year-old Kelly Ann Jaeger was fatally shot in Phoenix, Arizona, in a racially motivated attack. While walking near Palma Park with her boyfriend, Jeffery Wellmaker, who is Black, the couple encountered neo-Nazi affiliate Travis Ricci.
