On the morning of December 8, 2024, Cincinnati police responded to a report of a body behind a vacant apartment building in the 3600 block of Alaska Avenue in Avondale. Upon arrival around 9:30 a.m., officers discovered 28-year-old Darius Fletcher lying behind the building, deceased from a gunshot wound. The Cincinnati Fire Department confirmed his death at the scene.
