On the morning of December 8, 2024, Cincinnati police responded to a report of a body behind a vacant apartment building in the 3600 block of Alaska Avenue in Avondale. Upon arrival around 9:30 a.m., officers discovered 28-year-old Darius Fletcher lying behind the building, deceased from a gunshot wound. The Cincinnati Fire Department confirmed his death at the scene.

The circumstances leading to Fletcher's death remain unclear. Authorities have not disclosed how long his body had been ...
