On December 24, 2024, at approximately 11:30 a.m., 26-year-old Angelo Markantonakis was found deceased from gunshot wounds at his residence on Windy Rush Drive in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The Kannapolis Police Department responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the homicide. Authorities have identified three suspects believed to be involved in the incident.
The first suspect is described as a Black male with dark skin and brown eyes, standing between 5'8" and 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black knit gloves, and a camouflage "shiesty" mask with green trim. This individual was reportedly armed with a small handgun.
The second suspect is also a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, dressed entirely in black clothing.
The third suspect is a heavyset Black male with light skin, standing between 5'8" and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a tan "shiesty" mask and a sweatshirt without any identifying marks.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and not random. However, details regarding the motive or circumstances leading up to the incident remain limited. The police have not released photographs of the suspects but are actively seeking information from the public to aid in their apprehension.
