On December 25, 2024, at approximately 6:06 p.m., Monroe Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 400 block of Maple Way in Monroe, Georgia. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Tyesha Colley, a resident of Conyers, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds inside an SUV. Her husband, 41-year-old Jermaul Colley, had also sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
