On December 8, 2024, 18-year-old Malachi Cyrus Lancaster tragically lost his life in a hunting accident near Gainesville, Florida. The incident occurred off Williston Road, just south of Gainesville, where Lancaster sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported him to UF Health Shands Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
