On November 27, 2024, 17-year-old Jesus Adrian Acosta Rea was fatally shot outside a pizza restaurant in Lakewood, California. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 5:50 p.m. in the 20000 block of Pioneer Boulevard, where they discovered Acosta Rea with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
