On December 18, 2024, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Jason Alexander Ramirez, a 19-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was fatally shot in the Boyle Heights neighborhood. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Sixth Street and Grande Vista Avenue.
