On January 27, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas, 25-year-old Alyssa Nicole Perez was found fatally shot alongside 32-year-old Edward Acosta Jimenez. Their bodies were discovered inside a vehicle parked on Trudell Drive, near Loop 410 and Vance Jackson Road. The discovery was made by Jimenez's mother, who, upon attempting to wake her son for work, found the unfamiliar vehicle with the two victims inside.
