On January 29, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Hurst police responded to a call in the 500 block of East Pecan Street, where they discovered 22-year-old Edward Zachariah with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported him to HEB Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
