On April 28, 2023, at approximately 3 a.m., 42-year-old Erik Jermaine Lewis was found fatally shot in his apartment in Hurst, Texas. The Hurst Police Department responded to the scene and initiated a homicide investigation, considering the incident to be domestic in nature.
