On April 11, 2023, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 2400 block of Southwell Road in northwest Dallas. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Javoski Javonte Dawson lying under a breezeway with a gunshot wound. Dawson was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
