On April 11, 2023, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 2400 block of Southwell Road in northwest Dallas. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Javoski Javonte Dawson lying under a breezeway with a gunshot wound. Dawson was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Subsequent investigations identified 24-year-old Jaedon Stallworth as the primary suspect in Dawson's murder.
A warrant for Stallworth's arrest on charges of murder was issued. As of April 28, 2023, Dallas police have been actively seeking Stallworth's whereabouts and have appealed to the public for assistance in locating him.
Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding Stallworth's location to contact the Dallas Police Department at 469-843-3665. Additionally, Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
Javoski Javonte Dawson, born on July 30, 1991, in Canton, Mississippi, was remembered by family and friends during funeral services held on April 22, 2023, at Greater Faith Calvary Pentecostal Church in Canton. He is survived by his loved ones, who continue to seek justice for his untimely death.
As the investigation remains ongoing, the Dallas Police Department continues to encourage community members to come forward with any information that may assist in apprehending the suspect and bringing closure to Dawson's family.
