On April 11, 2023, 46-year-old Elliot Nix was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 7:55 p.m. in the 1300 block of Chartres Street, near the Rodeo Goat restaurant. Nix had reportedly approached Erick Aguirre, 29, and his date, posing as a parking attendant and charging them $40 for parking. Upon entering the restaurant, Aguirre was informed by an employee that Nix was a scammer with no affiliation to the parking lot.
