On April 30, 2023, 20-year-old Marco Arthur Cornejo was fatally shot at a post-prom party in Fort Worth, Texas. The event, held near Sherman Avenue, attracted a large crowd. An argument erupted between Cornejo and another individual, escalating into violence when Cornejo was shot in the torso. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
