On April 30, 2023, in North Richland Hills, Texas, 80-year-old Joyce Hartzell Simpson was found deceased alongside her husband in the driveway behind their residence. Earlier that morning, at approximately 3:30 a.m., local police received a distressing call from an elderly man who stated that he had just killed his wife and intended to take his own life.
