On May 5, 2023, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 10600 block of Coogan Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 73-year-old Alvaro Sosa with a gunshot wound; he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The following day, May 6, 2023, Dallas Police arrested 21-year-old Josue Hernandez, charging him with murder in connection to Sosa's death.
