On May 27, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Cleburne police responded to a 911 call from a man who reported that he had shot his wife. Upon arrival at the residence in the 300 block of Gatrix Avenue, officers discovered the body of 82-year-old Flora Walker, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
