On June 20, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 10400 block of Joaquin Drive, located in the Casa View neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 15-year-old Mikel D. Davis lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
