Upon arrival, officers discovered 15-year-old Mikel D. Davis lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mikel Davis was a resident of DeSoto, Texas, and a student at Bryan Adams High School.
