On August 8, 2023, the body of 47-year-old Pastor Phillip Mark Loveday was discovered inside his company vehicle near Corpus Christi, Texas. Loveday, who served as the senior pastor at Faith Christian Center in Freer, Texas, had been reported missing six days earlier after failing to arrive at his secular job with Kinder Morgan on August 2.
