On August 15, 2023, 46-year-old Anthony "Tony" Turgeon was fatally shot at his workplace, Vato Loco Tattoo Studio, located at Cooper and Division Street in Arlington, Texas. The incident occurred shortly after Turgeon was terminated from his position by the shop's owner, 42-year-old Javier Arredondo. Following the dismissal, Turgeon reportedly demanded his final paycheck and became agitated, shaking a display case and knocking items off the counter.
